The Ruby Cinema

The team at Cyberhomes really pulled out all the stops to create this CEDIA “Life Lived Best at Home” Award Winning high-end home cinema space. Additionally, the Ruby Cinema was also “Highly Commended” in the “Technical Cinema Level 2” category where it competed against some of the most advanced private cinemas in existence. 

Designed and built from scratch, this stunning theatre contains all the latest gadgets and tech including a Kaleidescape movie server, bespoke Moovia cinema seating, a 5k laser projector from Barco and of course, a Starscape Infinity ceiling! 

The ceiling panels were wrapped in luxurious Alcantara fabric and feature joint detailing designed to match the walls.  At nearly 6m x 4.5m, and including over 2000 individual star points as well as 6 shooting stars, the star ceiling is a truly impressive centrepiece to the room. The DMX controlled MiniLED850 RGBW units lighting the fibres allow for complete control – so the ceiling can easily switch from a twinkling star field to a deep, solid red to match the walls, or anywhere in between. 

As the installers put it – “The Red Ruby represents Positivity, Protection, Passion, Love, Vitality, and Strength.”  This room certainly embraces those ideals and will be an amazing family space for years to come.
